United Trust Bank (UTB) has appointed Johnathan Kempson as key account manager for buy-to-let and bridging, with a remit covering brokers across the North of England and Scotland.
Kempson joins the bank with more than 10 years’ experience in financial services, having held roles at Lloyds, Metro Bank and, most recently, Market Financial Solutions.
At UTB, he will support the lender’s buy-to-let and bridging propositions across both regulated and unregulated business, while working with brokers in the North of England and Scotland.
The bank said the role forms part of its wider efforts to strengthen support for brokers and improve service across its specialist lending operations.
Andrew Ferguson, commercial director of mortgages, BTL & bridging at United Trust Bank, says: “Johnathan brings a great deal of experience to the growing buy-to-let and bridging sales team across unregulated and regulated lending.
“He is also very well known in the industry with excellent broker relationships across the North of England, which has been his patch for several years.
“We are also busy developing UTB’s bridging and buy-to-let offering and delivering streamlined underwriting and improved service to brokers.
“The market is crying out for a reliable and trusted bridging lender which delivers on its promises, and Johnathan is joining the team dedicated to giving brokers the products, service and support they need and deserve.”
Kempson adds: “I’m delighted to be joining UTB as they continue to transform their bridging and buy-to-let offering and consolidate their position as a key, long-term player in unregulated and regulated bridging.
“I look forward to catching up with brokers and supporting their immediate requirements as well as sharing more about UTB’s exciting plans for the future.”
