Pluto Finance hires Darius Shekarrizi to grow bridging lending division

Pluto Finance has appointed Darius Shekarrizi as lending director for bridging.

The real estate private credit platform said Shekarrizi would take responsibility for bridging loans, joining the business with more than a decade of experience in specialist property finance.

He has previously held senior roles at Octopus Property, Oblix Capital and, most recently, Lendhub.

Pluto said Shekarrizi has built relationships across the broker and borrower market and has experience in originating and structuring bridging transactions.

In the new role, he will work with clients and intermediaries as the lender looks to increase its activity in residential and commercial bridging.

The appointment follows the recent arrival of lending directors Hugo Trower and Carl Bowcher, as Pluto continues to add senior staff across its lending operation.

Shekarrizi (pictured) says: “Pluto has built a strong reputation in the market for its pragmatic and flexible approach to development and bridge lending.

“I am delighted to join the team and look forward to working with borrowers and intermediaries and bringing Pluto’s cost effective and flexible bridge lending to a wider audience.”

Justin Faiz, co-founder & CEO, at Pluto Finance, adds: “We are very pleased to welcome Darius to Pluto Finance. He brings a wealth of experience in bridge lending, an excellent network across the market and a strong track record of originating and structuring transactions.

“His appointment will further strengthen our origination capabilities in bridging finance and support our ambition to continue growing our presence in this space.”
