LendInvest has appointed three portfolio managers to strengthen its development finance operations and support lending to SME property developers across England, Scotland and Wales.
Matt Freeman joins as senior portfolio manager, while Keisi Morina and Andrew Ferguson have been appointed portfolio managers.
The appointments expand the lender’s capacity to assess, structure and manage development finance facilities, with the new recruits bringing experience in credit underwriting, legal due diligence, financial analysis and portfolio oversight.
Freeman has experience across the lending lifecycle, including underwriting and recoveries, while Morina brings a legal background and experience in loan origination. Ferguson’s expertise includes portfolio management and financial modelling, particularly in relation to larger and more complex lending facilities.
The three join a development finance team whose origination activities are supported by relationship manager Dan Lohn, who has more than 10 years’ experience in UK development finance.
Lohn joined LendInvest in 2025 and works with SME developers throughout England, Scotland and Wales. He remains the principal contact for new development finance enquiries.
FOCUS ON RISK MANAGEMENT
The expansion is intended to strengthen the lender’s ability to assess development proposals and manage facilities throughout the construction process.
Lohn says: “A property development deal is only as strong as the people behind it, no matter how good the terms look on paper. Matt, Keisi and Andrew each bring something genuinely different to how we assess and manage risk, and that range means SME developers get sharp and more considered decisions at every stage, not just a faster “yes”.”
He adds: “This level of partnership is exactly what SME developers across England, Scotland and Wales deserve, and it reflects LendInvest’s commitment to backing the sector and driving Britain’s housing delivery forward.”
Ross Bennett, director of operations at LendInvest, says: “Development finance is a sector where the quality of the team behind a deal matters as much as the terms of the facility itself.
“These appointments reflect LendInvest’s ongoing investment in the people who structure, monitor and deliver our development lending.”
He adds: “I’m confident SME developers and brokers will feel the benefit of that depth, particularly through greater certainty, sharper execution and proactive support across every stage of a build.”
