Pallas Capital has appointed Samantha Dance as an originator as the non-bank lender continues to build its UK operation.
Dance (pictured) joins the lender’s origination team following its launch into the UK market earlier this year.
Pallas Capital said it had expanded its front-end operations during its first four months in the UK non-bank lending market, with its origination team now comprising six dedicated professionals.
Dance has more than 20 years’ experience in financial services, including nine years focused on property finance.
She spent nearly six years at Glenhawk as a business development manager. Before joining Glenhawk, Dance was regional development manager at Together, where she worked on distribution and complex transactions.
She also spent 10 years at Barclays and has experience across bridging, buy-to-let and commercial mortgages.
Dance will work alongside Mark Witherington, Phil Mabb, Anna Thompson, Archie Dickinson and Hunter Casey, as well as the wider credit team, to support intermediaries and expand the lender’s UK footprint.
Dance says: “I take genuine pride in turning property ambitions into reality, and there is nothing quite like the buzz of seeing a deal complete knowing I’ve played a part in that journey.
“Pallas Capital has quickly made a name for itself in the UK for its certainty of execution and disciplined approach. I am thrilled to join a team that shares my drive for finding solutions and providing brokers with the confidence they need to deliver for their clients.”
Ben Keenan, executive director at Pallas Capital, adds: “Samantha brings a huge amount of technical expertise, but what really sets her apart is how approachable and easy she is to work with.
“Brokers absolutely love dealing with her because she’s commercial, straightforward and gets things done properly – we’re really excited to have her join the Pallas team.”
