Inspired Lending makes bridging criteria available on Knowledge Bank

Brokers can now research Inspired Lending’s bridging and refurbishment finance criteria through Knowledge Bank following the lender’s addition to the mortgage criteria platform.

The arrangement allows intermediaries to search the specialist lender’s criteria alongside those of other providers, helping them assess whether a case is likely to meet its lending requirements before making direct contact.

Inspired Lending offers unregulated bridging loans, refurbishment finance and revolving credit facilities for residential, semi-commercial and commercial property transactions across England, Wales and Scotland.

Its facilities range from £250,000 to £5 million, with funding provided through private backing from the Pears family.

The addition to Knowledge Bank forms part of the lender’s efforts to increase its visibility among specialist finance brokers and complements its involvement with industry trade bodies and intermediary groups.

CRITERIA SEARCH AND CASE PLACEMENT

Although brokers can now research Inspired Lending’s published lending appetite through Knowledge Bank, the lender will continue to provide direct access to its decision-makers for cases requiring individual assessment.

Owen Bentley, sales director at Inspired Lending, says: “When a broker has a live case, they need to know quickly which lenders are worth speaking to.

“Being on Knowledge Bank means they can get a clear view of our appetite alongside the other lenders they are considering, which should make that process quicker and more straightforward.

“The criteria are there to help brokers identify the cases we could support, but they are not a substitute for picking up the phone.

“There will always be transactions where one detail changes how we view the deal, so we still want brokers to speak to us and give us the chance to understand what they are trying to achieve.

“We want Inspired Lending to be considered whenever a broker has a bridging or refurbishment case that fits our appetite.

“Knowledge Bank puts our proposition in front of brokers at the point they are making that decision, and they know there is a team at the other end of the phone ready to discuss the case with them.”

Knowledge Bank enables intermediaries to compare lenders’ criteria through searchable answers, providing an additional research tool when assessing the suitability of specialist finance products.

Julie Bourne, criteria and partnerships manager at Knowledge Bank, says: “Our aim is to give brokers accurate information that helps them narrow down their options and spend more of their time speaking to lenders that could support their client’s case.

“Inspired Lending brings an established bridging and refurbishment proposition to the platform, backed by a team that is willing to look at the detail of a transaction.

“We’re pleased to be working with Owen and the team and to make that proposition available to Knowledge Bank users.”
