LendInvest reports record £1.44bn lending as demand from professional investors holds firm

LendInvest recorded a record year for lending in the 12 months to 31 March 2026, with continued demand from professional landlords and property developers helping to drive originations despite wider market uncertainty.

The specialist lender completed £1.44bn of lending during its 2026 financial year, a 17% increase on the previous year. Lending accelerated towards the end of the period, with a record fourth quarter delivering £415m of originations, including £196m in March.

The business said the stronger lending performance contributed to a 200% increase in adjusted EBITDA to £8.7m. It also reported that momentum has continued into the new financial year, with its largest-ever lending pipeline and another record quarter of originations in the opening three months of FY2027.

Rod Lockhart, chief executive of LendInvest, says: “FY26 has been a landmark year for LendInvest. Our strategic transformation into a highly efficient, capital-light platform is now business as usual, and it’s driving record-level lending and powering a 200% increase in EBITDA to £8.7 million as our model scales.

“These results show that, despite broader macroeconomic fluctuations and swap rate volatility, the appetite among professional landlords and specialist property investors remains incredibly resilient.

“Our brokers and borrowers are looking for speed, flexibility and certainty, which is exactly what our platform delivers.”

The lender said the latest results underline continued demand for specialist property finance, with activity from professional landlords and developers remaining resilient despite a challenging economic environment.
