Investec Bank (Channel Islands) has provided an £8.17 million property investment loan to Field Day Commercial Property, secured against three commercial properties in Guernsey.
The facility refinances existing borrowing and supports further investment in a portfolio encompassing offices, car parking, retail and leisure property.
The assets include Mill Place in St Peter Port, a refurbished 14,000 sq ft mixed-use building containing traditional and serviced offices, residential accommodation and a café.
Field Day completed the refurbishment of the former industrial office building in 2025, modernising it for its current occupiers while retaining parts of its original character.
Field Day Developments is a Guernsey-focused commercial property development and investment business. Its projects span office, leisure, retail and mixed-use property, with the company seeking to add value through development and active asset management.
The transaction extends an existing relationship between Investec and Field Day. The bank has previously supported the business on projects including Upper House, Rock House and Royal Terrace in Guernsey, as well as Bearwood Parade in Birmingham.
Scott Philpott, business developer for Guernsey at Investec Bank (Channel Islands), says: “Field Day required financing that reflected the different properties within its portfolio and the company’s plans for continued investment.
“Investec worked closely with Luke and the Field Day team to provide a practical structure aligned with those requirements, rather than applying a standard lending approach.
“The £8.17 million loan gives Field Day a stable financing base across its Guernsey portfolio. It also demonstrates how Investec’s local knowledge and Offshore Real Estate expertise can be combined to provide property clients with financing shaped around their assets and wider strategy.”
Luke Daynes, commercial director at Field Day Developments, says: “Investec has supported Field Day across several property projects and has developed a strong understanding of both the business and the Guernsey market.
“Scott, Peter and the wider Investec team took the time to understand the portfolio and worked with Field Day to shape the financing around its plans.
“Investec provided responsive and collaborative support throughout the process. The strength of the relationship and the team’s practical approach helped deliver a financing structure suited to Field Day’s requirements and its continued investment in Guernsey.”
Field Day is led by Daynes, who is responsible for strategy, acquisitions, financing and asset management, and development director Peter Schofield, who oversees construction, project management and delivery.
The transaction was delivered by Philpott and Peter Roberts, with support from Nicole Sorbie in credit lending services.
