UTB backs classic Bentley purchase with £360k facility

United Trust Bank has completed a £360,000 interest-only asset finance facility to support the purchase of a classic 1930s Bentley.

The deal was arranged for a long-standing customer whose relationship with the bank spans two decades.

It was introduced to Kerry Pickering, broker development manager at UTB, by Apollo Capital Group, which specialises in finance for luxury, classic and supercars.

UTB said underwriters Giles Hussey and Oliver Hobday used their knowledge of classic and high-value car funding to agree the facility. The latest transaction takes the customer’s total borrowing with UTB through Apollo to more than £1 million.

David Moss, director at Apollo Capital Group Luxury & Supercar Finance, says: “The key to this smooth completion was the confidence inspired by the expertise and specialist knowledge of underwriters Giles Hussey and Oliver Hobday, combined with the exceptional support from BDM Kerry Pickering. Kerry’s proactive approach ensured a stress-free process.”

Pickering adds: “This transaction is a great example of the strength of our relationship with Apollo and the value of working closely with experienced specialist brokers.

“We’ve supported this customer over many years, and it’s rewarding to continue that journey by helping them acquire such a special vehicle.

“At UTB, we’re focused on building long-term partnerships — both with our broker network and our customers. By combining deep sector expertise with a flexible, supportive approach, we aim to deliver the consistency and service that clients can rely on time and again.”
