Word reaches Soup Towers of a bridging boss who is maintaining a brave face despite Arsenal losing the UEFA Champions League final last Saturday.
Duncan Kreeger, founder of TAB, the bridging and commercial mortgage lender based in Borehamwood, has been supported by his staff, who last week donned gooner garb in sympathy with their boss.
Kreeger claims that the red and white initiative was a purely spontaneous decision by his underlings. Speaking to Bridging Soup, he said: “It had nothing to do with me – it was a complete surprise organised by the team for my benefit!
“As a result, I was the only one not wearing red… Actually, there was so much red in the office it looked like the parade had been rerouted through TAB HQ.”
He refers of course to the parade last Sunday where fans cheered the Champions League losers (surely ‘Premier League winners’? Ed.) through the streets of Islington.
Special mention must go to James Staunton, TAB’s newly-installed head of comms, who showed his true sporting affiliations by wearing a top more suited to a Formula 1 pit lane than the Emirates Stadium. Top gear indeed…
