Spicerhaart Part Exchange & Group Clients has promoted two senior employees and begun a recruitment drive in Sheffield as demand rises for managed part exchange and assisted move services from housebuilders.
The business, which sits within Spicerhaart’s estate agency and property services group, said Lindsay Storey had been promoted to business development director, while Lucy Jennings had moved up to operations manager.
Storey’s promotion follows more than 20 years with Spicerhaart, including several years within the Part Exchange & Group Clients division.
In the new role, Storey (main picture) will lead business development, working with major housing developers as well as estate agency directors and other internal teams across the group.
She has close to 30 years of industry experience, having started with Haybrook before its acquisition by Spicerhaart. During that time, she progressed through a series of roles including new homes sales co-ordinator and divisional sales manager before moving into the part exchange business.

Jennings has been promoted to operations manager after seven years with the group. Her new brief includes managing and mentoring the frontline team and wider part exchange office, while working alongside business development and sales teams on targets and service standards.
She will also be responsible for maintaining relationships with clients, colleagues across the group and wider industry partners.
The appointment is Jennings’ fourth promotion since joining the business as a sales consultant. She later became senior sales consultant, sales manager and then assistant operations manager.
The promotions come as developers make greater use of part exchange and assisted move arrangements as a way to reduce delays in the sales process and help buyers progress more quickly on new-build purchases.
Spicerhaart said its model combines dedicated account managers with a national branch network of more than 200 offices, giving developers a single point of contact for part exchange and assisted move instructions.
Alongside the senior promotions, the company is expanding its Sheffield-based team, with vacancies for admin support assistants, sales consultants and an assistant operations manager.
Neil Knight, divisional director of Spicerhaart Part Exchange & Group Clients, said: “This is a really exciting time for the business as we continue to see significant demand from developers for a fully managed part exchange and assisted move proposition.

“Developers are realising that by offering such a service to clients, they can reduce friction and achieve a faster path to completion. As we continue to facilitate smoother transactions for developers and their customers, the time is right to expand our team.
“As part of that, it is only right that we recognise the tremendous contributions of those who have helped us achieve our success. Both Lindsay and Lucy play critical roles in our team, ensuring that we don’t just attract and retain key partnerships with developers, but that we back this up with expert insight, support and exceptional results.
“With their help and leadership, the business is growing from strength to strength and I look forward to working closely with them and the wider team to provide our developer partners with a comprehensive range of added-value services.”
