Recognise Bank opens Milton Keynes office as loan book grows 45%

Recognise Bank, the SME property lending bank, has opened a new office in Milton Keynes, as it reveals its loan book grew by more than 45% in the past 12 months and exceeded £600m in deposits.

The bank said the office brings together all bridging and term lending origination operations, including pre- and post-offer activity, alongside loan servicing under one roof.

It added that the move is designed to improve collaboration, leadership oversight and operational effectiveness, with the team managed by head of operations Anita Kirkbright.

Anita Kirkbright said the office was already supporting a more joined-up approach to lending.

She commented: “Since we announced the setting up of our Milton Keynes office at the start of December last year, it’s been inspiring to not only see the team pull together to create this new office, but also to be able to attract such incredible talent from the local area.

“We are already witnessing the value of a joined up ‘cradle to grave lending’ approach which is delivering consistency and decisiveness to brokers and their SME clients.”

Simon Bateman, chief executive of Recognise Bank, said the Milton Keynes office represents an important step in the bank’s development.

He added; “Already this year we have not only exceeded £600m in deposits but also reached the milestone of a £500m loan book and have undergone a rebrand.

“However, we have no intention of standing still, as the feedback in the last few months about the Bank from brokers has been superb and gives me and my executive team the confidence to achieve our wider growth ambitions.”
