MSP Capital has appointed Tom Edmunds as lead business development manager for the Midlands as the specialist property lender looks to increase its presence across the region.
Edmunds (pictured) joins the principal lender with more than 10 years’ experience in bridging and development finance, working with brokers, developers, investors and other property professionals.
He was most recently relationship director at Shawbrook Bank, where he supported property professionals with funding requirements for a range of projects.
Edmunds also has experience as a property investor, including refurbishment projects, property flips and commercial property transactions.
Edmunds says: “My background has been all about experiencing the challenges, opportunities and decisions involved in property investment first-hand.
“This has given me a genuine appreciation of the importance of having the right funding partner and the right support throughout the journey.
“That’s one of the reasons I’m joining MSP Capital. The business has built an excellent reputation for taking a relationship-led approach and providing flexible bridging and development finance solutions that help clients achieve their goals.
“I’m looking forward to reconnecting with existing contacts, building new relationships across the Midlands, and working alongside brokers, developers and investors to support their ambitions.
“I’m excited to be part of the MSP Capital team, sourcing opportunities, promoting our lending products, and assisting the underwriting team to ensure deals progress efficiently through to completion.”
The appointment forms part of MSP Capital’s plans to broaden its geographical reach and strengthen relationships with mortgage brokers and intermediaries across the UK.
Adam Tovey, commercial director at MSP Capital, says: “Tom’s appointment is an important step as we continue to evolve the business and build our presence across more core regions of the UK.
“The Midlands is a hugely important property market, with a diverse range of developers, investors and businesses who require flexible, relationship-led finance. Tom brings a wealth of experience, strong relationships and a genuine understanding of property from both the lending and investment perspectives.
“We want to work more closely with brokers and intermediaries on a national basis, while continuing to build the strong relationships that have always been at the heart of MSP Capital. Expanding our geography and strengthening our team in key regions such as the Midlands will help us do that.
“Ultimately, it’s about continuing to evolve and grow, and making MSP Capital an even stronger partner for our customers in the years ahead.”
