Market Harborough appoints Nicholls as deputy CFO

Market Harborough Building Society has appointed Brad Nicholls as deputy chief finance officer as it continues to expand its specialist lending capabilities.

Nicholls (main picture) brings experience spanning finance, lending, savings, treasury and risk, alongside a background in strategic development across the mutual and banking sectors.

He joins from Newcastle Building Society, where he serves as director of strategic finance, following senior roles at Nottingham Building Society, Arrow Global and The Co-operative Bank.

Nicholls already knows the organisation after spending time supporting the society during 2025.

SUPPORTING SPECIALIST GROWTH

The appointment comes as Market Harborough invests in its mortgage and savings operations while diversifying into new areas, including its recently launched motor finance proposition.

The society says Nicholls’ experience will support its long-term growth strategy and help strengthen its proposition for members, customers and broker partners.

Market Harborough operates across specialist residential and bridging finance, using individual underwriting to assess complex cases introduced by brokers.

Nicholls says: “I’m delighted to be joining Market Harborough Building Society at such an exciting point in its journey. Having previously had the opportunity to work alongside many colleagues across the organisation, I’ve seen first-hand the ambition, culture and commitment that make the Society such a special place to be. I look forward to helping maintain this momentum and creating lasting impact.”
