FORTO Finance has launched in the UK mortgage and protection market, offering bridging, commercial and development finance alongside residential and buy-to-let mortgages.
The new brokerage, founded by mortgage and protection adviser Anthony Curtis and supported by operations manager Esmé Rook, has entered the market following a pilot that began in April.
Its product range includes residential mortgages, buy-to-let, remortgages, bridging finance, commercial finance and development funding, as well as mortgages for expatriates and foreign nationals.
The firm will work with a range of borrowers including homeowners, landlords, property investors, self-employed applicants and high net worth clients, with a particular focus on expat borrowers and specialist property finance.
FORTO Finance said it had been established to provide clear and proactive advice to clients navigating changing lender criteria and affordability requirements.
Anthony Curtis, director of FORTO Finance, says: “We’ve been running a pilot since April and we now know the proposition works. The number of choices available to borrowers has increased significantly in recent years, while affordability requirements and lender criteria are evolving all the time.
“Clients need advice that helps them understand their options and make informed decisions. Our focus is on providing clear recommendations, responding quickly and helping clients make progress towards their financial goals.
“We’ve built FORTO Finance around the belief that good advice should give people confidence to move forward, whether they’re buying a home, refinancing an existing property or funding their next investment. The focus on expat mortgages has come out of that.”
The FORTO name draws on the Italian word “forte” and the Latin word “fortis”, which the business said reflected its focus on strength, confidence and forward progress.
The brokerage has also adopted a fox as part of its brand identity, representing intelligence, instinct and agility.
