Inspired Lending joins NACFB lender panel as Patron

Inspired Lending has joined the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (NACFB) as a Patron, extending its engagement with commercial finance intermediaries across the UK.

The appointment will give the specialist short-term lender access to the association’s broker network through industry events, member communications and other activities. NACFB members will also be able to engage directly with Inspired Lending’s underwriting and decision-making teams.

Inspired Lending offers unregulated bridging and refurbishment loans secured against residential, semi-commercial and commercial properties in England, Wales and Scotland. Its facilities range from £250,000 to £5 million, with revolving credit facilities also available.

The lender is backed by private funding from the Pears family and assesses applications individually, taking account of the borrower, security property and proposed repayment strategy.

The NACFB, established in 1992, represents more than 1,400 member firms and 3,000 individual brokers. Its Patron programme brings together lenders and other finance providers working with commercial finance intermediaries.

DIRECT ACCESS TO DECISION-MAKERS

Owen Bentley, sales director at Inspired Lending, says: “Specialist lending works best when brokers know who they are dealing with and can have a proper discussion about a case before deciding where it belongs.

“A set of criteria can tell you a lot, but it cannot tell you how a lender will respond when a valuation comes back differently, the structure changes or something unexpected appears halfway through a transaction.

“That is why being part of the NACFB is important to us. It gives us the chance to spend more time with brokers, understand the types of cases landing on their desks and make sure they know what we can genuinely support.

“Just as importantly, it gives brokers another route to get to know the people who will actually be making decisions on their cases.”

Bentley adds: “We want brokers to feel they can bring us a deal early, including the awkward bits, and get a clear answer from somebody who understands the transaction. Becoming an NACFB Patron gives us another way to build those relationships with brokers across the country.”

Jim Higginbotham, chief executive officer at the NACFB, says: “I am delighted to welcome Inspired Lending as an NACFB Patron. In bridging and refurbishment finance, no two cases are alike, and brokers value a lender that weighs each one on its merits and lets them speak directly to the decision-maker.

“Our Patron Lenders are a vital part of this community. When lenders engage openly with brokers, sharing what they can do and listening to what clients need, brokers are better placed to give confident, well-informed advice, and the businesses they serve are more likely to find the right funding.

“A healthy market is built on relationships as much as products, and I look forward to seeing Inspired Lending build those relationships across our community.”
