Inspired Lending joins FIBA to deepen broker relationships

Inspired Lending has joined the Financial Intermediary & Broker Association (FIBA) as it looks to strengthen engagement with brokers across the specialist finance sector.

The specialist bridging lender, which was founded in 2023, said membership of FIBA would support its commitment to maintaining close dialogue with intermediaries and staying connected to developments across the market.

Inspired Lending provides unregulated bridging and refurbishment finance across England, Wales and Scotland, offering loans from £250,000 to £5 million. The lender supports residential, semi-commercial and commercial property transactions and has built its proposition around direct access to decision-makers, flexible underwriting and a pragmatic approach to more complex cases.

FIBA represents specialist finance intermediaries throughout the UK and works with lenders, brokers and wider industry stakeholders on areas including professional development, market standards and broker education.

Gavin Diamond (main picture), chief executive of Inspired Lending, says: “The specialist finance market has matured considerably over the past few years. Borrowers are more informed, brokers are dealing with more sophisticated transactions and lenders are being asked to demonstrate far more than simply competitive pricing.

“In that environment, understanding what’s happening across the market becomes just as important as understanding your own business.

“What FIBA does particularly well is bring together professionals who understand those realities. It creates an environment where lenders and brokers can have honest conversations about what’s working, what’s changing and where improvements can be made.

“Those discussions ultimately benefit everybody involved, from brokers and lenders through to the borrowers themselves.

“We’re looking forward to contributing to those conversations and working more closely with the wider FIBA membership.”

Martin Reynolds, chair of FIBA, adds: “Relationships remain central to specialist finance and brokers place significant value on working with lenders that are accessible, responsive and prepared to look at cases individually.

“Inspired Lending has built a reputation for taking a practical approach to complex transactions while maintaining close relationships with intermediaries. Those qualities align strongly with what brokers are looking for in today’s market and make the lender a welcome addition to FIBA.

“We look forward to working with Gavin and the team and supporting their engagement with our members across the specialist finance sector.”
