Halo Corporate Finance has moved to strengthen its position in the UK’s fast-growing padel sector using its sponsorship of the British Padel Awards 2026 to highlight rising demand for specialist funding across the sport’s rapidly expanding operator base.
The firm has signed on as a silver sponsor of the awards, which take place at Victoria Warehouse in Manchester on 16 May, as it looks to deepen relationships with club operators, developers and investors entering the space.
Padel has emerged as one of the UK’s fastest-growing participation sports, driving a wave of new court developments and conversions of underutilised commercial space.
The growth is increasingly attracting interest from property investors and bridging lenders, particularly where schemes require short-term funding to acquire sites, fund construction or reposition existing assets.
PADEL BOOM
Halo Corporate Finance says it is seeing a marked increase in enquiries from businesses looking to launch or expand padel centres, with funding requirements often centred around speed of execution and flexible structuring – areas typically served by bridging finance.
The firm is positioning itself as a specialist partner for operators seeking to access capital allowances, tax reliefs and tailored funding solutions to support development and expansion.

Luke Hultquist, Director and Co-Founder of Halo Corporate Finance, says: “It’s amazing to see how popular padel has become in the UK.
“It’s a fun sport that brings people together, and it’s easy to pick up. From a business perspective, we are seeing a huge increase in padel centres, which is why we offer a specialist funding portfolio designed to help businesses tap into every available benefit, including tax relief and capital allowances. We aim to help business leaders build a thriving padel community.”
The British Padel Awards will bring together operators, investors and industry stakeholders, underlining the growing commercial opportunity in the sector as demand for new facilities continues to accelerate.
