Project Surveyors has become the latest associate member of the Bridging & Development Lenders Association (BDLA), strengthening the trade body’s representation of firms supporting the specialist property finance sector.
Project Surveyors is a RICS-regulated surveying consultancy providing valuation, building surveying and professional property services across London and the South East. The firm operates across commercial, residential, healthcare, education and development sectors, offering services including independent monitoring surveying, development monitoring, building surveying and quantity surveying.
The BDLA, the UK’s trade association for the bridging and development finance sector, now represents more than 100 organisations. Its lender members collectively hold loan books totalling £11.5bn.
Adam Tyler, chief executive of the BDLA, says: “I’m delighted to welcome Project Surveyors as the latest Associate Member of the BDLA. The strength of the BDLA lies not only in its lender membership, but also in the quality and breadth of the associate firms that contribute to higher standards and best practice across the market.
“Surveyors play a vital role in this ecosystem, providing lenders, brokers and borrowers with the independent insight and technical expertise needed to support informed lending decisions, particularly in a market where prudence, transparency and confidence are paramount. We look forward to working with Project Surveyors and drawing on their experience as we continue to support the sustainable growth of the bridging and development finance sector.”
Colin Horton, commercial director at Project Surveyors, adds: “Becoming an Associate Member of the BDLA is an important step for Project Surveyors and reflects our commitment to working closely with lenders and other professionals across the specialist property finance market.
“At a time when lenders are placing even greater emphasis on disciplined decision-making, robust due diligence and responsible risk management, the role of experienced surveying professionals has never been more important.
“Our focus is on providing lenders, developers and advisers with clear, reliable and commercially focused surveying advice and joining the BDLA gives us the opportunity to share our experience, learn from others across the sector and support the Association’s work to promote high standards and best practice.”
The appointment adds to the BDLA’s growing associate membership base, which includes professional services firms that support lenders, brokers and borrowers operating within the specialist property finance market.
