Hope Capital appoints Harry Williams to lead finance and treasury

Hope Capital Property Finance has appointed Harry Williams as head of finance and treasury as the bridging lender expands its funding operations.

Williams (pictured, left) joins the business following Kate Cowan’s promotion to chief financial and operating officer earlier this year.

He will take responsibility for financial management, treasury and reporting across Hope Capital’s funding lines, with the newly created position providing dedicated leadership for the function.

Williams is an ACA-qualified accountant and previously held senior finance roles at INEOS Inovyn and Victrex plc. His experience includes group reporting, audit, working capital, cash flow and treasury within international businesses.

FINANCE TEAM EXPANSION

Williams says: “I’m delighted to join Hope Capital Property Finance, what has stood out to me since joining is how closely the finance team works with colleagues across the business.

“In previous roles, I worked within larger group finance teams, so I’ve particularly enjoyed directly collaborating with underwriting, and post completions and seeing how each team contributes to delivering for borrowers.

“My experience has taught me the importance of accurate reporting and planning under tight deadlines. I’m looking forward to bringing that approach to this role as the business continues to grow.”

Cowan (pictured, right) says: “As my role has developed, we’ve created the head of finance and treasury position to give this important area of the business dedicated leadership.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Harry to the business, he brings a wealth of experience of working in complex organisations where accurate reporting, careful planning and tight deadlines are part of everyday life.

“He has already built strong relationships across all of the teams in our business, and his appointment will enable us to maintain a clear view of our funding and financial position as we continue to support brokers and borrowers.

“This is an exciting time for Hope Capital and the perfect moment for Harry to join the business as we continue to expand our institutional funding lines and grow even further.”
