Hope Capital Property Finance has formed a strategic partnership with Scottish brokerage Futurity Finance after the firms completed more than £13 million of loans together over the past 12 months.
The two businesses have also recorded a 100% redemption rate across every deal completed during their relationship.
The partnership developed after Hope Capital Property Finance national account manager David Weir met Stephen Gallagher, director at Futurity Finance, to discuss a complex London transaction.
The firms have worked together since 2025, with the relationship extending to the underwriting process. Hope Capital Property Finance senior underwriter Andrew Bate oversees the majority of Futurity Finance cases, with Gallagher having direct access to the underwriter during transactions.
Hope Capital said the arrangement was intended to allow decisions to be made quickly on complex cases.
Futurity Finance also has an embedded surveying capability, which it uses to assess proposed exits and identify potential alternative exit routes before cases are presented to the lender.
Gallagher (pictured, right) says: “We always start with the exit in mind. Ensuring we have a solid foundation to build the rest of the deal around is essential to how we approach Hope Capital Property Finance.
“Having a strong exit and well thought out plan allows me to work with David to put together a deal with full confidence while also providing value to my clients.”
Bate (pictured, left) says: “We have full confidence in every deal that comes to us from Futurity Finance, because of the work they put in and the level of detail we receive. It means we can move quickly and make decisions with certainty.”
Weir (pictured, centre) adds: “Working with Futurity Finance has helped us improve our offering in Scotland, adjusting our view on our below market value criteria which we hadn’t previously taken a view on.”
The two firms said they planned to build on the partnership following the £13 million completion milestone.
