Cawood leaves StreamBank after three years

Roz Cawood has left her role as managing director, property finance at StreamBank after three years with the specialist lender.

Cawood (main picture, inset) announced her departure on LinkedIn, saying she had achieved what she set out to do at the bank and believed it was the right time to seek a new challenge.

She joined StreamBank in August 2023, shortly after the lender received its full UK banking licence, with responsibility for helping build its presence across bridging and development finance.

One of the most significant developments during her tenure was StreamBank’s move into regulated bridging, which launched shortly after her arrival.

The lender subsequently expanded its regulated and unregulated bridging proposition and distribution, while growing its property finance sales and underwriting teams.

‘PROUDEST CHAPTERS OF MY CAREER’

Announcing her departure, Cawood says: “After an amazing 3 years, I’ve made the decision to move on from StreamBank.

“When I joined, we set out to build something different in specialist finance and we did. Introducing regulated bridging into the proposition was a genuine milestone and turning that ambition into real results has been one of the proudest chapters of my career.

“I’ve done what I set out to do here and that’s exactly why it feels like the right moment for fresh stimulus elsewhere. My passion for this industry is undiminished, the relationships, the business development, the hands-on side of it most of all.”

Cawood has more than 25 years’ experience in specialist finance and joined StreamBank from Hope Capital, where she was Director of Sales.

Her previous roles include Head of Sales at Masthaven Bank and positions with LendInvest, Precise Mortgages, Legal & General Network, Beacon Homeloans, Capital Home Loans and The Mortgage Corporation.

She was also elected to the executive committee of the Bridging & Development Lenders Association (BDLA) in September 2024.

OPEN MIND ON NEXT MOVE

StreamBank continued investing in its property finance operation during 2026, including the appointment of Lorenzo Satchell as National Account Director in January. Satchell reported to Cawood as the lender looked to deepen its broker relationships and expand its bridging and development finance business.

Cawood says she will now take some time to consider her next move and remains committed to the specialist finance market.

She adds: “Thank you to all the internal and external stakeholders and professional partners who made this chapter what it was and especially the team I’ve had the privilege to lead. Their energy, resilience and skill is honestly the hardest part to leave.

“I’m now taking some time to explore what’s next, with a genuinely open mind. If you’re up for a chat over coffee, I’d love that and I’m always happy to talk shop on where the market’s heading.

“Thank you to everyone who’s been part of this journey.”
