Albatross Lending Group has joined the Bridging & Development Lenders Association (BDLA), adding its property and SME finance experience to the trade body’s lender membership.
The specialist lender provides short-term property finance alongside secured funding for UK SMEs, with its property business serving individuals, companies and overseas borrowers.
Its lending covers residential and semi-commercial requirements, while its SME division provides finance for purposes including acquisitions, investment, working capital, refinancing and restructuring.
SECTOR REPRESENTATION
The BDLA represents bridging and development lenders and engages with government, regulators and the wider property finance market. Its work includes promoting standards within the sector and representing members’ views on issues affecting specialist lending.
Adam Tyler, chief executive of the BDLA, says: “Specialist lenders have an important role to play where transactions require speed, flexibility or a more individual approach to underwriting when it comes to lending on property or providing SME finance.
“We’re really pleased to welcome Albatross, which operates both of these areas, and its experience will add another useful perspective to our lender membership.
“A key part of the BDLA’s work is ensuring that the practical experience of lenders informs our engagement with brokers, regulators, policymakers and wider stakeholders. We look forward to the Albatross team contributing to those conversations.”
Joshua Field, chief operating officer at Albatross Lending Group, says: “At Albatross, we have always placed the customer journey at the centre of how we operate, combining a commercial approach to lending with clear communication and direct access to decision-makers.
“Joining the BDLA is a natural next step as we continue to grow, giving us the opportunity to contribute to the conversations shaping our sector.
“We look forward to sharing our experience, learning from fellow members and working together to support high standards across specialist lending.”
