More than 200 delegates have registered for the Bridging & Development Lenders Association’s 2026 Annual Conference, putting attendance more than 25% ahead of last year.
The BDLA has confirmed the final speaker and panel line-up for what will be its largest Annual Conference to date.
The event will take place at the Institute of Directors on Pall Mall, London, on 11 November, bringing together lenders, funders and professional partners from across the bridging and development finance market.
The move to the larger venue means further places remain available despite registrations already exceeding last year’s attendance.
MARKET ECOSYSTEM IN FOCUS
The programme will include a panel examining the changing bridging and development finance ecosystem, with representatives from Strettons, Together, VAS, Shawbrook Bank and Brightstone Law.
The session will consider how lenders, brokers, funders, valuers, solicitors and other property professionals have responded to the challenges of 2026 and what the market can do to support stronger activity during 2027.
Technology will be the focus of a second panel, bringing together representatives from Provide Finance, Kennek, Nivo and OMS.
It will examine advances across short-term lending and the intermediary market and what still needs to happen to create a more joined-up new business origination process.
ECONOMIC OUTLOOK
Rob Elder of the Bank of England will provide an assessment of the UK economy and how the Bank’s outlook is feeding into monetary policy.
Alex Brummer, City Editor of the Daily Mail, will close the main speaker programme with his perspective on the economy, financial markets and issues likely to influence businesses and investors during the year ahead.
Strettons is Headline Sponsor of the conference, with Together supporting as Lunch Sponsor and CG&Co sponsoring networking drinks.
‘OUR LARGEST ANNUAL CONFERENCE EVER’
Adam Tyler (main picture, inset), CEO of the BDLA, says: “This will be our largest Annual Conference ever and I think the programme reflects both how far the BDLA has come and the range of issues our members are dealing with at the moment.
“We have deliberately put together sessions that look beyond lenders in isolation, as bridging and development finance relies on a much wider group of businesses working well together, from brokers and funders to valuers, lawyers and technology providers.
“We’re also very pleased to welcome Rob Elder and Alex Brummer, two experts who will give delegates two different perspectives on the economic environment at a time when the direction of the economy, interest rates and property activity are open to much speculation.
“With more than 200 people already booked, we are well ahead of last year’s attendance. Moving to the Institute of Directors has given us the capacity to accommodate that demand, so there is still time for members and guests to book.”
