West One and Saffron join Knowledge Bank development panel

West One and Saffron Building Society are now live on Knowledge Bank, giving brokers access to their criteria through the platform’s KB PRO system.

Both lenders have completed and published their lender-controlled criteria, enabling brokers to include them in searches and compare their responses alongside other development finance providers.

The additions come as demand for development finance continues to grow, with brokers increasingly relying on real-time, lender-managed criteria to place complex cases.

Knowledge Bank said the move strengthens its development and bridging offering, with more than 165,000 pieces of criteria across eight active lending types, including bridging, development and commercial.

SINGLE SEARCH

Development cases often vary widely in structure, from first-time developers to experienced investors managing ground-up schemes or heavy refurbishments.

The inclusion of West One and Saffron BS allows brokers to compare appetite in a single search, filter and evidence results using the platform’s ‘Evidence of Research’ PDF, and view updates as soon as lenders publish them.

Growth is also continuing in the bridging space, with Central Trust and Charterbank now searchable on the platform.

Knowledge Bank says further lenders are currently working with its team to refine and upload their criteria.

Tony Hall, Head of Business Development at Saffron for Intermediaries, says: “Property development finance is a key area of focus for us and being live on Knowledge Bank is an important step in making our criteria more accessible to the broker community.

“We’ve seen a clear uplift in proposition awareness, and we’re committed to converting this into business growth.

“This partnership allows us to communicate the strengths of our development finance proposition in a fresh way and ensures brokers can quickly identify how we can support their clients’ projects.”

To support the sector further, Shane Chawatama (main picture, inset), sales director at Knowledge Bank, will host a development finance-focused edition of Lenders Live in March, bringing together brokers and lenders to discuss current challenges and opportunities across the specialist market.
