United Trust Bank (UTB) has appointed two senior banking professionals to its Deposit Solutions team as it looks to build on recent growth and expand its relationship-led service.
United Trust Bank has appointed Adam Johnson and Matthew Manning to newly created roles within its Deposit Solutions division, as the bank continues to target growth among businesses, charities and individuals with balances in excess of £1m.
Johnson (pictured, left) joins as business development director – Deposit Solutions, bringing nearly 20 years’ experience across commercial and retail banking.
He has previously held roles at Lloyds Group and Metro Bank, and most recently served as director of partnerships at Arbuthnot Latham & Co.
Manning (pictured, right) has been appointed senior business development manager – Deposit Solutions. He joins from Santander, where he was transactional banking and liquidity director.
He has spent 18 years in banking and, since 2023, has specialised in supporting corporate and commercial clients with a broad range of deposit products and liquidity management.
In their new roles, Johnson and Manning will focus on building strategic relationships, attracting new clients and identifying growth opportunities, while supporting the ongoing development of the bank’s Deposit Solutions proposition.
Deposit Solutions was launched in 2023 as a relationship-led service designed to help larger depositors maximise interest income while maintaining access to liquidity. The service supports businesses, schools, credit unions, charities and individuals with balances of more than £1m.
The team has now grown to four specialists, with the latest appointments reflecting further investment and an ambition to attract higher deposit balances and further diversify the bank’s deposit book.
United Trust Bank has also recently launched a new trust account proposition, with the Deposit Solutions team establishing relationships with professionals in the sector to support trustees in managing trust cash balances.
Commenting on the appointments, Stephanie Charsley, head of deposit solutions at United Trust Bank, said: “Adam and Matthew are joining us at an exciting time, and I am delighted to welcome them to the team. Their experience will be invaluable in helping us to maintain the significant momentum we’ve gathered since launching just over two years ago.
“Deposit Solutions has proven to be extremely popular amongst customers with significant savings. We provide a relationship-led service which aims to help clients maximise their interest income whilst retaining the liquidity they need.
“With dedicated and named points of contact providing support with our award-winning solutions, and with a new Trust proposition, we aim to be the first choice of businesses, schools, charities, credit unions and individuals with balances in excess of £1m looking for a partner who’ll help them make the most of their money.”
