Time Finance is inviting brokers and lender partners to take part in a second charity five-a-side football tournament in Manchester next month in aid of the RNLI.
The independent SME lender said the event will take place on 23 April at Power League in Manchester, following the first tournament held last year.
The competition is intended to bring together teams from across the lending and broker community for an afternoon of football and fundraising, with proceeds from entry fees and additional donations going to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
Time Finance said the RNLI was chosen by its team as this year’s charity partner because of a personal connection within the business. The lender said a team member who recently passed away had been a strong supporter of the charity.
The event is also being positioned as a networking opportunity for brokers and lenders, with firms from across the finance sector encouraged to enter teams and attend on the day.
Ed Rimmer, chief executive officer at Time Finance, said: “After the incredible response to our first charity football tournament, we’re excited to be bringing the event back for a second time. It was fantastic to see so many members of our broker and intermediary community come together to support a great cause, and we’re hoping this next tournament will be even bigger.
“We’d love to see as many brokers and industry partners as possible get involved again, whether that’s entering a team, coming along to support, or donating to the cause. It promises to be a great day for the industry while raising money for a charity that makes a real difference.”
The RNLI relies on donations to fund its lifesaving work. Time Finance noted that most of the charity’s lifeboat crews are volunteers who respond to emergencies around the clock throughout the year.
Brokers and lenders interested in entering a team for the tournament have been asked to contact Time Finance for registration details.
