Stance builds northern team ahead of Founders Club launch

Stance Asset Finance has appointed Rebecca Walton as business development manager for the North of England as it prepares to launch its new asset finance proposition to Founders Club members.

The business, a new asset finance brand from United Trust Bank, is continuing to assemble its dedicated sales team ahead of its phased market entry.

Walton’s arrival follows the appointments of Cherrice Baffana and Alex Fowler, with the lender set to go live to Founders Club members in mid-February before a wider market launch in the second quarter of 2026.

Walton (pictured) brings 10 years’ experience in financial services and asset finance, including five years at Haydock Finance in both operational and sales roles. Most recently, she served as regional broker manager within the sales team.

In her new role, she will focus on supporting the launch and development of Stance Asset Finance across the North of England, working with brokers to build volumes and establish relationships as the brand seeks to carve out its position in the intermediary market.

FOUNDERS CLUB ROLL-OUT

Stance will be supported by United Trust Bank’s operational infrastructure and technology but will operate with its own dedicated sales business development managers and underwriting teams.

The lender said the proposition is aimed at brokers whose clients sit just outside the bank’s existing credit criteria, offering funding and refinance solutions for a range of hard assets across multiple sectors.

Nathan Mollett, head of Stance Asset Finance, says: “I’m delighted to welcome Rebecca to the Stance Asset Finance team, joining Alex Fowler in the Field Sales team and Cherrice Baffana in Internal Sales.

“Rebecca’s experience and great relationships with brokers in the North of England will help us to get Stance off to a fantastic start in a region where UTB has already built an excellent reputation for competitive products and great service.

“With our launch to Founders Club members coming very soon, we are still looking for talented and enthusiastic salespeople and underwriters who will make Stance really stand out from the crowd.”

Walton says: “Excitement is really building in the Stance team as we’re within days of launching the new business to Stance Founders Club members.

“I’m looking forward to getting out there and introducing Stance Asset Finance to the many brokers I’ve built strong relationships with over the last few years and helping to develop the new proposition to meet the evolving needs of brokers, especially when looking for a funder with a more flexible approach to credit.”
