Raw Capital takes bridging proposition to L&G Mortgage Club panel

Guernsey-based Raw Capital Partners has been appointed to the lender panel of Legal & General’s Mortgage Club, broadening distribution of its bridging finance and specialist residential mortgage products to club members.

The lender has 10 years’ experience in structuring bespoke mortgages for foreign nationals, UK expats and Channel Islanders investing in UK buy-to-let property.

In December 2025 it expanded its offering to include UK-resident borrowers, widening its addressable market.

Raw Capital lends to private individuals, trusts and corporate entities, with facilities secured against completed or near-completed residential property. Its range includes interest-only loans for terms of up to 10 years.

Loan sizes run from £100,000 to £4 million, with up to £10 million of aggregate exposure available to a single counterparty and maximum loan-to-value of 70%.

Recent changes to product and process include fee-free overpayments across both UK-resident and non-UK-resident lines, faster initial credit assessments through the use of Automated Valuation Models, and the ability for overseas borrowers to make mortgage interest payments directly from a UK bank account. These enhancements will now be available to L&G Mortgage Club members.

DISTRIBUTION REACH

L&G’s Mortgage Club celebrated its 30th anniversary last year, having completed £1.1 trillion of mortgages since 1995. The club is involved in nearly one in four of all UK mortgages and almost one in three of intermediated transactions.

Tim Parkes (pictured), chief executive officer of Raw Capital Partners, says: “At RAW Capital Partners, our entire proposition is based on our ability to take on cases that other lenders may shy away from.

“With the launch of our UK product two months ago, we’re able to work with an even broader range of brokers and borrowers, so now’s the perfect time to join L&G’s Mortgage Club lender panel.

“We’ve received a really positive response from brokers to the new products and enhancements that have been rolled in recent weeks, and I’m confident that the club’s members will find great value in our bespoke financial products.”

Greg Cunnington, LG Mortgage Club

Greg Cunnington, head of strategic accounts at L&G’s Mortgage Services business, adds: “We’re committed to working with lenders who understand and adapt to our brokers and clients’ evolving needs.

“That’s why we’re delighted to welcome RAW Capital Partners to our lender panel, giving our members access to a range of flexible and bespoke products to support their customers.”
