Pluto Finance has appointed Hugo Trower as lending director as the specialist lender looks to expand its support for developers and housebuilders across the UK.
Trower (pictured) joins from Barwood Capital, where he spent seven years helping to build the firm’s residential investment business.
Most recently, he served as chief operating officer of Barwood Capital’s residential platform, which provides joint venture equity to SME housebuilders.
During his time there, he played a role in growing the residential business and team from launch. The platform invested in more than 50 projects, supporting over 30 housebuilders and the delivery of more than 500 homes across the UK.
A chartered surveyor, Trower began his career in the development team at Savills before moving into investment and residential development finance.
At Pluto Finance, he will focus on structuring debt finance solutions for developers and housebuilders, working with the lender’s developer and investor partners across the UK.
The appointment comes as Pluto continues to develop its lending platform in the residential development market, with Trower bringing experience spanning development, investment and finance.
