MSP Capital has appointed a new business development manager as it looks to accelerate growth across its broker and developer channels in London and the South East.
Michael Halsey joins the property finance specialist with a mandate to expand its intermediary reach across key regional markets including London, Essex, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire.
He will focus on originating new business while supporting brokers with deal structuring, ensuring smooth access to MSP Capital’s bridging and development finance products.
The move comes as competition for broker relationships continues to intensify across the specialist lending space, with lenders placing greater emphasis on regional coverage and hands-on support through the deal lifecycle.
CAREER PROGRESSION
Halsey brings more than a decade of experience in property finance, spanning broking, underwriting and business development. He began his career as a mortgage broker in 2013 before moving into second charge lending within the Enra Specialist Finance group.
He later joined West One Loans, where he worked across broker network development and underwriting support, before most recently expanding a regional broker network at Alternative Bridging.
At MSP Capital, he will work closely with intermediaries from initial enquiry through to completion, supporting deal progression and helping brokers unlock opportunities for developer clients.
GROWTH STRATEGY

Adam Tovey, commercial director at MSP Capital, says: “Michael brings a wealth of experience across both broking and lending, as well as a strong track record of building meaningful relationships in the intermediary market.
“Brokers are central to our growth strategy, particularly in London and the South East, and Michael’s knowledge of these regions, combined with his hands-on approach, will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen our support for our broker partners.”
Halsey adds: “MSP Capital has built a strong reputation for its relationship-led approach and ability to deliver tailored funding solutions.
“I look forward to working closely with brokers and developers across London and the South East.
“The aim is to build lasting partnerships and help them access the funds they need to progress and complete property schemes that deliver much-needed homes for people.”
