LendInvest has agreed a new £250m funding partnership with global private credit investor Castlelake to support growth in its bridging proposition.
The agreement will see Castlelake acquire up to £250m of loans originated by LendInvest, strengthening the lender’s capacity to support borrowers across the UK property market and increasing flexibility within its short-term lending range.
STRATEGIC EXPANSION
The new funding forms part of a broader evolution of LendInvest’s funding stack, with a specific focus on optimising its bridging offering.
It will enable the lender to support larger and more complex transactions, including individual loans of up to £15m, while expanding its ability to deliver regulated bridging finance and development exit facilities.
The partnership follows work undertaken by LendInvest last year to diversify its funding sources, supporting a long-term and sustainable capital base across specialist residential, development finance, bridging and buy-to-let lending.
BUILDING ON HALF-YEARLY MOMENTUM
The announcement comes shortly after LendInvest reported a strong half-year FY26 performance, marked by higher lending volumes and a return to profitability. The latest funding agreement adds to that momentum and reflects continued institutional appetite for UK property-backed lending.

Hugo Davies, chief capital officer and managing director of mortgages at LendInvest, says: “This partnership is a strategically important milestone for our bridging franchise.
“By partnering with Castlelake we have secured an accretive, long-term funding solution that allows us to fund larger loans more efficiently and support gaps in the market where traditional lenders remain constrained.
“Coming off the back of our strong half-year results, this deal underscores the institutional confidence in our platform and our commitment to making property finance simple for both new and existing customers.”
NO LONGER A NICHE

Leanne Ardron, managing director of short-term lending at LendInvest, adds: “The wider UK property market has realised what we always knew, and that is bridging finance is no longer a niche, but a powerful tool used by property investors to maximise their investing potential.
“This new partnership with Castlelake allows us to widen our lending criteria and enable property investors to be bold with their strategy.
“The team and I are excited to see what we can achieve with this funding pipeline, and we are ready to start conversations with brokers and their clients.”
