Century Capital collapses into administration

Century Capital has been placed into Administration by order of the Court.

RSM UK Restructuring Advisory LLP were appointed Joint Administrators of Century Capital Partners Limited on 30 January 2026, following an application by the Qualifying Floating Charge Holder.

The short-term lender was founded by Paul Mumford (pictured) in 2012, who at the time had 20 years’ experience as CEO of a family office and brokerage, MCIFA.

In 2014 Century Capital agreed a funding line with a UK hedge fund, and two years later it received backing from OneSavings Bank and a high net worth private investors fund.

It reached £150m in lending in 2018 and it had surpassed double this figure by 2021.

In late 2021 it secured two new finding lines – from a multi-billion dollar US credit fund and a UK challenger bank – providing an additional £250m lending capacity. This was added to in 2023 by a £100m fund raise with Natwest.

According to Companies House, outstanding charges against Century Capital Partners Limited remain with Midtown Madison Management Llc, Hampshire Trust Bank, Natwest, Oaknorth Bank PLC and Opal Stl Limited.

Both Paul Mumford and the administrators have been contacted for comment.
